Denton Gymnastics Academy is located in the heart of Denton, Texas. You can find us just a couple blocks off the historic downtown square. We cater to local athletes and pride ourselves in being the international hub for gymnastics. Our philosophy is deeply rooted in the discipline of gymnastics and our goal is to provide fitness and fun to the local community. At Denton Gymnastics Academy, we offer a productive environment for kids of any age to expand and improve on their physical fitness abilities. Our facility consists of first-rate coaching and top-of-the-line equipment. The sport of gymnastics provides a great basis for balance, strength, flexibility, agility and coordination. Gymnastics is a unique sport that gives participants the opportunity to express themselves and compete as individuals as well as a part of a team while teaching the foundations of focus and discipline. Denton Gymnastics Academy (DGA) was founded by Aurel and Rodica Lazar. As coaches, the Lazars have enjoyed over 30 years of rewarding experience working with international Elite gymnasts all over the world. The Lazars’ coaching philosophies are backed by their personal experiences as world class gymnasts on the Romanian National Team. Rodica is currently enjoying her position as a choreographer and International Brevet Judge, while she and Aurel continue to share their extensive knowledge, expertise, and work ethics in the competitive training arena. Today, the Lazars are dedicated to building upon their success, imparting their knowledge, and nurturing future gymnasts in their own progressive and professional environment. Gymnasts at Denton Gymnastics Academy have traveled the world, making connections, and productively contributing to the global gymnastics community. |
